SOUTH SAN GABRIEL – The deaths of a man and woman in the unincorporated South San Gabriel area have been ruled a murder-suicide, authorities said Saturday.
Mariam Woodlin, 47, of Los Angeles, was shot and Marco Ventura, 37, of Rosemead, shot himself, the coroner’s office reported.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, officers were dispatched to the 7600 block of Steddom Drive, near Del Mar Avenue and the Monterey Park city limits, around 12:20 p.m. Wednesday to find an unconscious man who had stopped breathing.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered a woman on site who was also unresponsive.
Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics arrived on scene and found both men dead at the scene.
