Where can you get each team’s commemorative cap?

Major League Baseball, in collaboration with New erahas unveiled this year’s Stars and Stripes caps to be worn on the field by players, managers, coaches and referees on Independence Day. Thursday, July 4, 2024.

What’s special about this year’s 4th of July collection?

This year the collection includes a cream-colored crown for all 30 teams, with a choice of red or navy blue peak and button.

Of particular note is that the Detroit Tigers have changed their cap color from red to navy blue, marking the first change since the Tampa Bay Rays made a similar switch in 2022.

Thus, 17 teams choose blue and 13 choose red.

The front of each cap proudly features the team’s standard logo, decorated with the stars and stripes of the American flag for the 29 American clubs.

The Toronto Blue Jays are the only Canadian teamwill carry a red and white version of its logo, which is the colors of the Canadian flag.

In addition, each cap features a second version of the team’s respective league logo on the right side, while the underside of the visor, the inner sweatband and MLB logo on the back remain simple, without additional design elements.

A brief history of New Era hats in the MLB

New era has an eventful history that dates back to its founding in 1920.

The company initially supplied caps to a MLB Team that Cleveland Indiansin 1934.
